Drop files
Drag and drop capability makes adding new files into MP3 Manager easier. In fact it was designed for adding
tracks from Napster's download folder. But you can use this feature for
all copying/moving operations. It can even be used for playing files.
Dropping (import):
You can use the dropping window in 2 ways:
- Highlight some track in main track list... its folder will be used as destination folder for dropped files.
Then use command "Drop files" of File menu and drop files from Explorer into this window.
- Drop files from Explorer directly into main track list.
Features of dropping window:
- More files can be dropped at once.
- Doubleclick in grid on filename plays clicked file. Don't forget to stop the player before moving!
- Doubleclick in grid on any tag where "No" is not displayed will open messagebox with tag content and question
about keeping this tag. You can "overwrite" the default action set by "Remove tags" checkbox in this way. Please
note, that only parts of tag can be displayed, if the content is too long.
- Pressing "Del" key removes highlighted file from grid.
Dragging (export)
- Use Ctrl+left mouse button in main track list and drag single file to Explorer or any MP3 player supporting D&D.
- Press right mouse button in main track list and drag single file to Explorer - at destination small native Windows
menu will be opened. You have then an option to copy or move files. Don't forget to update the database by
Ctrl+F5, if you are moving files from MP3 Manager.
- Only one track at once can be dragged out of MP3 Manager.
